NDHS Band Parents,
This is a reminder that band students participating in marching band for the upcoming year, MUST have a physical prior to August 1.

The UIL statement reads:
“A 7th or 8th grader must complete a physical examination and medical history form in the first year of marching band participation and then again starting the first year of participation in high school marching band. Therefore, an 8th grader in the first year of marching band participation would be required to have a physical examination in 8th and 9th grade. However, a 7th graders in the first year of marching band participation would be required to have a physical in the 7th grade and not again until the 9th grade.”

NDHS Marching Band Students:
That means, any incoming 8th grader and incoming 9th grader, along with any student in the High School Marching band and has NOT taken a physical during any of their high school years, MUST have a physical as well.

Baylor, Scott and White will be here on July 25th from 2pm-4pm. We will set up in the locker rooms in our main gym. Fee: $0

The medical form link is: http://www.uiltexas.org/music/marching-band
We also have copies in the high school front office. Please make sure your child brings the medical form with them to provide to the medical personnel.

The Medical History side MUST be fully completed and signed by a Parent/Guardian in order to see the medical provider for the physical.

We recommend the student wear comfortable clothing and do not participate in any strenuous activity for at least 30 minutes prior to coming in for the exam.
