and in the afternoons (M-W) from 3:35 - 4:00.

I am excited about teaching this year.  This will be my fourth year at NDHS.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My wife and I have been married for 30 years, and we have 4 kids.  Two of our kids live with us in Longview, and two of our kids live in other states.  One lives in Memphis, TN, and the other one lives in Peoria, IL.

I enjoy reading the Bible, reading and discussing theology, and talking about my faith in Jesus Christ.

I am originally from Longview and graduated from Longview HS.   I attended Baylor University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology.  I was a research technician at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School for 2 years.  I then attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a master's degree in Civil Engineering.  After graduating I worked as a graduate engineer in  a small consulting firm in the Texas Panhandle.

I began my teaching career at Longview High School; I taught Physics there for 5 years.  I then taught at Christian Heritage School in Longview, and I helped establish their HS science program.  My family and I then followed God's call and moved to Bolivia for 4 years as missionaries.  While we were there, I taught science classes in an international Christian school for grades 7-12.  After being in Longview for one year, we moved again to Indonesia as missionaries.  Once again I taught in an international Christian school.  I taught high school science, math and Bible classes.  We were there for four and one-half years, but I got sick and had to return home to continue medical care.  I then began teaching Physics at Hallsville HS, and I was there for 3 years.  I then went back to Christian Heritage School for one year.  After that I made the move to New Diana HS, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
