Hello My Name Is...

I teach Physics, Integrated Physics & Chemistry (IPC), and Advanced Math.

My conference period is 1st Period which is from 7:55 - 8:44.

I have tutorials every morning (M-F) from 7:30 - 7:50,
and in the afternoons (M-W) from 3:35 - 4:00.

I am excited about teaching at NDHS.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My wife and I have been married for nearly 30 years, and we have 4 kids.  Two of our kids live with us in Longview, and two of our kids live in other countries.  One lives in Mexico City, and the other one lives in London.

I enjoy reading the Bible, reading and discussing theology, and talking about my faith in Jesus Christ.

I am originally from Longview and graduated from Longview HS.   I attended Baylor University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology.  I was a research technician at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School for 2 years.  I then attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a master's degree in Civil Engineering.  After graduating I worked as a graduate engineer in  a small consulting firm in the Texas Panhandle.

I began my teaching career at Longview High School; I taught Physics there for 5 years.  I then taught at Christian Heritage School in Longview, and I helped establish their HS science program.  My family and I followed God's call and moved to Bolivia for 4 years as missionaries.  While we were there, I taught science classes in an international Christian school for grades 7-12.  After being in Longview for one year, we moved again to Indonesia as missionaries.  Once again I taught in an international Christian school.  I taught high school science, math and Bible classes.  We were there for four and one-half years because I got sick and had to return home to continue medical care.  I then began teaching Physics at Hallsville HS, and I was there for 3 years.  I then went back to Christian Heritage School for one year.  After that I made the move to New Diana HS, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.
